What does Challenge The Outdoors actually do?

The Problem
For a hunter, an angler, or anyone who grew up outside, a sudden disability can feel like the door to the woods just slammed shut. Boats aren't accessible. Blinds aren't accessible. The trail to the water isn't accessible. The outdoors quietly stops being a place you belong.

The Story Behind the Mission
Why Challenge The Outdoors exists.
Written by Guide4Good
Challenge The Outdoors started in 1998 around a simple idea: a disability shouldn't be the end of a life spent outside. For a hunter, an angler, a kid who grew up in a tree stand — losing access to those places is losing a piece of yourself.
What began with a handful of volunteers organizing fishing trips has grown into a year-round program of hunts, outings, and a dedicated accessible pond off Highway 29 between Green Bay and Shawano. Peter's Pond is the kind of place where the parking lot, the dock, the path to the water — all of it — was designed so nobody has to ask for help to participate.
It runs on volunteers, donated boats, donated time, and a stubborn belief that the outdoors belongs to everyone.
